A small studio of pressed petals and patient hands.
Bloom & Pin is the handmade brooch practice of Elif Yılmaz, working from a second-floor workshop in Karaköy, Istanbul. Each piece begins as a flower, pressed between the pages of a book, and finished in editions of six to fourteen.

Twelve brooches, quietly released.
Cosmos, in Resin
A full cosmos blossom — not a petal, the whole flower — preserved in a shallow lens of clear bio-resin. Poured in a single breath; any hesitation shows as a ripple.

The collections, each on its own time.
Wildflower Series
Pressed petals from an Aegean spring. A meditation on the roadside flora of western Anatolia — Queen Anne's lace, cornflower, poppy.
Garden Classics
The familiar, made slow. Camellia, ranunculus, old-world roses.
Pressed Petals
Botanicals sealed in silence. Whole blossoms — pansy, cosmos, scabiosa — preserved in hand-poured resin with brass pin-backs forged in Karaköy.
A room with north light.
The studio is three flights up, above a shop that sells used books in four languages. Elif arrives at seven, makes tea in a small blue pot, and opens the window until the street smells like simit. The day is organised around the light: mornings for pressing, afternoons for clay, evenings for the long, slow pours of resin.
